Project Overview

In fulfillment of its unwavering commitment to advancing human capacity development, promoting entrepreneurship, and preparing young people for productive and self-reliant futures, the Department of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Skills Acquisition of the Educrest Humanitarian Foundation (EHF) successfully organised a two-day Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Programme for the Junior and Senior Secondary School students of Deeper Life High School, Rumuokparali, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.Held on Monday, 13 July and Tuesday, 14 July 2026, the programme was conceived as a transformative educational intervention designed to bridge the widening gap between classroom instruction and the practical realities of economic productivity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable livelihood.Recognising that the demands of the twenty-first century require far more than academic excellence alone, the programme sought to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, resilience, leadership, and practical vocational competence among students. It was built upon the conviction that every young person possesses immense potential which, when nurtured through relevant knowledge, practical skills, and purposeful mentorship, can become a powerful catalyst for personal success and societal transformation.Over the course of two intensive and engaging days, participants were exposed to a rich blend of inspirational lectures, entrepreneurial orientation, wealth creation strategies, financial literacy discussions, interactive mentoring sessions, and practical demonstrations designed to empower them with skills capable of generating sustainable income and fostering economic independence.One of the defining features of the programme was its emphasis on learning by doing. Participants received comprehensive practical training in the production of liquid detergent soap, powdered detergent, Izal disinfectant, and hot balm, enabling them to acquire marketable vocational skills that can serve both domestic and commercial purposes. Every practical session was carefully facilitated to ensure that participants not only understood the production processes but also appreciated the entrepreneurial opportunities associated with each product.Beyond vocational instruction, the programme challenged participants to embrace innovation, develop entrepreneurial mindsets, cultivate financial discipline, and view themselves as future creators of opportunities rather than passive seekers of employment. It encouraged them to recognise that sustainable wealth is built upon knowledge, creativity, diligence, integrity, and value creation.The programme equally served as an important platform for inspiring confidence, strengthening leadership capacity, promoting critical thinking, and encouraging students to pursue excellence in every aspect of life. Through engaging interactions with facilitators, practical exercises, and motivational sessions, participants gained renewed optimism regarding their ability to shape meaningful futures irrespective of prevailing socio-economic challenges.This initiative once again exemplifies Educrest Humanitarian Foundation's vision of building empowered communities through education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and humanitarian service. It reflects the Foundation's enduring philosophy that meaningful societal transformation begins with investing in people, expanding opportunities, and equipping young minds with the competencies required to thrive in an increasingly competitive global environment.
