Project Overview
The Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Programme organised by the Department of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Skills Acquisition of Educrest Humanitarian Foundation (EHF) was conceived as a strategic intervention to equip young people with practical vocational competencies, entrepreneurial knowledge, and life-transforming skills required to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and competitive world.Held on Wednesday, 8 July and Thursday, 9 July 2026, at Ozuoba Community Grammar School, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, the programme brought together Junior and Senior Secondary School students for two days of intensive learning, practical demonstrations, entrepreneurial orientation, and personal development.Recognising that formal education alone is often insufficient to prepare young people for the realities of today's socio-economic environment, the programme sought to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-life productivity. It exposed students to practical skills capable of fostering self-reliance, creativity, innovation, and financial independence while inspiring them to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable pathway to sustainable success. The programme featured engaging sessions on wealth creation, entrepreneurial mindset development, financial responsibility, creativity, innovation, and personal excellence, alongside hands-on practical training in the production of liquid detergent soap, powdered detergent, Izal disinfectant, and hot balm. Participants were guided through every stage of the production process, enabling them to acquire practical knowledge that could be utilised for personal development, household needs, small-scale enterprise, and future economic empowerment.Beyond vocational training, the initiative sought to cultivate confidence, resilience, leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a positive mindset among students, encouraging them to become solution providers, innovators, and responsible contributors to national development. Through this intervention, Educrest Humanitarian Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to building human capacity by integrating education with entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. The programme represents another significant milestone in EHF's mission of educating minds, empowering lives, and transforming communities, demonstrating the Foundation's belief that investing in the skills, character, and potential of young people is essential for building prosperous communities and achieving sustainable national development.
